Sludge filter press is a machine that applies mechanical force on one side of the filter medium to achieve filtration, and is mainly used for solid-liquid separation of sludge (water).

The water-containing sludge of the sludge filter press is transported to the sludge mixing tank through the sludge pump, and at the same time, coagulant is added for full mixing reaction, and then flows into the belt-type sludge press cloth device, and the sludge is evenly distributed to the gravity dewatering zone. Under the bidirectional dredging of the mud rake and the action of gravity, the sludge quickly takes off the free water of the sludge with the movement of the dewatering filter belt. Due to the design of gravity dewatering zone is longer, so as to achieve maximum gravity dewatering. The turned sludge enters the ultra-long wedge-shaped preloading dewatering zone to slowly clamp the sludge unloaded from the gravity zone to form a sandwich-type included angle layer, which is sequentially and slowly pre-pressurized and filtered to minimize the residual free water in the mud layer. As the upper and lower filter belts advance slowly, the upper and lower distance between the two filter belts gradually decreases, and the middle mud layer gradually hardens. The large-diameter filter roller is dewatered by preloading,, A large amount of free water is removed to make the mud cake smoothly enter the extrusion dewatering zone and enter the "S" pressing section. In the "S" pressing section, the sludge is sandwiched between the upper and lower layers of filter cloth and repeatedly pressed by several pressing rollers. When the upper and lower filter belts pass through the wave path formed by the staggered rollers, the upper and lower filter belts generate shear force on the clamped mud cake due to the alternating upper and lower positions of the two filter belts, most of the water remaining in the sludge is filtered out to promote the dewatering of the mud cake again. Finally, the dry mud cake is scraped off by a scraper and transported to the sludge storage place by a belt conveyor or a shaftless screw conveyor.
